Downstream processing needed capsule inversion and product separation, but separate actuation stages added cost and mechanical complexity.

Approach
  • Defined a precision tolerancing strategy for synchronised inversion and separation
  • Developed a feedscrew system that performs both inversion and separation from a single actuator
  • Engineered a tight-tolerance separator for reliable product extraction, with feedscrew-driven transport for uniform feeding
Result

Actuator consolidation reduced mechanical complexity while improving extraction consistency and overall line stability.
